About the Oceania Sport Information Centre

OSIC is a regional information centre for sports and physical education hosted and implemented by the University of the South Pacific for and on behalf of the Oceania National Olympic Committee with the support of the Australian Sports Commission and seed funding from UNESCO. OSIC was launched in August 1997 and is located within the Library of the University of the South Pacific. The services, collection and databases are available to the people of the South Pacific region.

OSIC provides a service to all countries who are members of the Oceania Olympic Committee and to the member countries of the University of the South Pacific. These include: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Guam, Kiribati, Marshalls, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu,, Vanuatu and Western Samoa. OSIC is providing information services in sport to athletes, coaches, sports journalists, educators, researchers and other interested users.
